This trail was done off a whim. It was just Kiara and I for the day so I figured why not? Let’s go out and go hiking! This technically is our second hike.
The actual trail was about an hour and a half away from where we lived, which most people can find a little off-putting because who wants to drive just to go walking? Or that's at least how I picture people thinking about this. BUT we arrived at the parking lot which surprisingly had quite a few cars parked.
So the first thing I get Kiara to try and do is to poop BEFORE we start the trail. Because this child ALWAYS poops on the trail and I'm not trying to carry dog poop for miles. However, of course, she didn't want to go. AND what did she end up doing... not even 5 minutes into the trail...she poops. So because I'm adamant in not wanting to carry poop with me, we turned around so I could throw it away

I attribute this trial to start of me just clipping Kiara to my camelback instead of me actually holding onto the leash. Of course, I had to shorten the leash because Kiara I swear has ADHD and she would just start randomly walking off the trail. But she didn't do bad. The only time I had to unclip her was when we got a creek.
We first got to the creek and I said,
"oh no"
. I was not prepared to have my feet wet. Wet socks or being pulled into a creek were not on my agenda. So I unclipped Kiara...and we carefully stepped across the creek, me making sure that my feet weren't too submerged. Thank goodness for my Army Boots We made it across and it was maybe another half mile to the peak of the waterfall. I noticed that the trail kept going so I and Kiara mosied along to see how far we could go. That's where we ran into another couple that so kindly helped us get up the highest rock possible to get a photo. Come to find out...the guy was military as well. Even though we reached the highest climber ledge the trail still kept going. Now, Kiara, she wanted to keep going up (as you can see in the photo below)...but the rocks were becoming less and less dry and I wasn't trying to end up on the news. So we turned around and called it a day.Biggest Takeaway/ Accomplishment: Kiara is still scared of bridges but she may be braver than me when it comes to climping mountains.
Things to Note: If you're not careful you might want to bring an extra pair of socks
