Testing… Testing…
I must say that seeing my own handwriting as a font is one of the dopest things I discovered…Even through the line up of everything may be a little off but it just makes it that more authentic.
internal struggles.
Here’s something that I find myself struggling with from time to time. WHO AM I? but this time the question is am I Black or am I a person of color?
To give you some background if you don’t know anything about me and you just somehow stumbled upon my blog… My mom is Filipino and my dad is African American.
The Last Quarter or so...
So I fell off. Per usual. I fell off a lot of things to be honest. And I'm using the Coronavirus as my excuse. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. But here I am so let's review the Last Quarter for 2020.
2019 Recap
And just like last year... here's my 2019 End of the Year Reflection courtesy of DayOne App.
Also, guess who's unknowingly taken apart of this years reflection...
The Last 6 Months...
And here we are… crazy how time seems to keep speeding up. But I think I agree with all the big wig scientists and philosophers that time is just an illusion.
Here's to Another Year - Part Two
Day Two: We decided to get up around 7:30. Well let me correct myself. Devonte got up at 7:30am so he could go get his workout in. I was supposed to join him...but I didn't.
Here's to Another Year - Part One
We were looking for something that wasn’t crazy in the driving time so we landed in MASSANUTTEN SKI RESORT
in Virginia. Devonte booked the hotel and we all we had left was to save up money.
Pilot Mountain via Grindstone, Ledge Spring and Jomeokee Trail
The trail was COVERED in fallen leaves! But any regular human being could figure out what was the trail and what was not. So we weren't hindered in any way. The only thing I was worried about was slipping on the leaves. Kiara, on the other hand, didn't have a care in the world.
Lake Norman Lakeshore Trail
This trial had been on my Planned List on the AllTrails app for a while now so now that I was back in North Carolina I figured I should go ahead and mark this off the list.
Catawba Falls Lake Trail
This trial was done off a whim. It was just Kiara and I for the day so I figured why not? Let’s go out and go hiking! This technically is our second hike.
RockTop Trail
This trail currently holds the longest hike for me at 6.3 miles long with the highest elevation gain at 1.414 feet.
Sugarloaf and Morrow Mountain Trail
So boom. This trail is actually two trails combined and is rated as easy with the AllTrails app if you actually search it. BUT these trails are not easy!
The Start of My Hiking Career
I found my first trail, which was 25 minutes from my house, and I took my little one, Kiara, and went on our first adventure.
Oh Canada!
This was our anniversary, spring break, and my birthday trip. I think the actual planning of this trip started back in September…maybe October, either way, it was like six months in advance. All I know was that I needed to take off and to save up.
